With inspiration from stimulus words ‘omniscience’ and ‘deceased’, the following sequence of images was produced to visually convey the story of Tom Knight through sequential photographic narrative.
‘The Hand of Reason’ is a true recount of a family relationship, exploring the mental torment and suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can inflict on an individual. Best friends, work colleagues and father and son - Robert and Tom are the perfect duo. However, upon a catastrophic event with a life changing outcome; Tom Knight battles anguish, agony, and self-accusation, suffering the plague of PTSD.
This poignant and emotive photographic collection visually captures the destruction and turmoil of psychological shock, self-isolation, and the struggle to find support, resilience, and reason to reconnect.
Photographs taken using Nikon D3500, edited on Adobe Photoshop and formatted on Adobe InDesign.
