This brief required collaborative work to recompose and illustrate ‘Cautionary Tales for Children’ by Hilaire Belloc.
Taking on the role as Art Director, challenging each members skills and ideas whilst aiming to maximise high efficiency and effectivity was a priority. Remaining professional and authoritative as Art Director was essential. Listening carefully, managing timeframes and assertion ensured the group accomplished the project to the set deadlines.
Additional to directing the team, organising internal meetings and finalising design ideas, personal visual contribution to this outcome included the production of the back cover, spine and contents designs. This utilised typography, illustration and layout consistent throughout the book, alongside preparing the book ready for print by considering margins, bleed and print markings.
